El Descanso: Yoga at MOLAA

El Descanso is an invitation to pause and remember that rest is not something you earn; it is something you deserve. This weekly 1-hour restorative yoga experience weaves together breathing techniques, guided meditation, and a gentle yoga flow. A nurturing container you can return to again and again. Each class opens with its own intention, a seed planted at the start that blooms through breath, movement, and stillness. El Descanso is a resting place for your body, your mind, and your creative spirit. A sacred space to come home to yourself, regulate your nervous system, and unlock something deeper: your creativity, your voice, your power. All levels welcome. Please bring your own mat. Teacher’s Bio: Hazel Montserrat Gutierrez is a queer Latinx yoga teacher, intuitive Reiki master, spiritual guide, and storyteller with Bay Area Nicaraguan roots. She creates spaces where women of color and the queer community feel safe to rest, heal, and reconnect with who they truly are, so they can step fully and freely into their creative power. Her work is rooted in nine years of her own journey from survival to self-love, and she now devotes her life to guiding others through that same sacred passage home.
