Mermans “**Mofaya**” Mosengo is a Congolese musician, singer and songwriter whose journey has taken him from the Democratic Republic of Congo to stages around the world, performing with Playing For Change and alongside some of the biggest names in music. Rooted in the rhythms of Congo and the spirit of reggae, his music carries a message of resilience, unity and hope. His remarkable life story is the subject of the upcoming documentary MOFAYA, which follows his journey from refugee to international musician and his mission to give back. That mission now includes an initiative to build a music and arts school in Congo, creating opportunities for the next generation through creativity, education and music.
